Elegant Makeup Looks For Valentine’s Day

Elegant Makeup Looks For Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you’re probably looking to switch up your makeup look and there’s nothing more exciting than a bold makeup look! Nude and no-makeup looks are super convenient and absolutely stunning for an everyday look, but when you really feel like going all out, bold looks can really help you change it up. Here are some bold yet elegant looks that’ll be perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Orange You Glad?

Okay, we know orange shades are scary. But everyone can pull them off if done right! Hear us out. There’s nothing like a good ol’ bold orange lip with muted or neutral makeup, you’re bound to glow. But, an orange lip might be a little much for some, and that’s fine!

Go for a sunset shadow look instead. Play around with yellows, oranges and burnt siennas to create a stunning orange eyeshadow look. Use a saturated orange shadow, and blend it with a light yellow and burnt brown shadow, add a little glitter to make it pop some more!

Get Graphic About It

Graphic eyeliners are to die for! And what better day than Valentine’s to experiment with an elegant yet bold graphic liner look? How you do it is your choice! But, if you’d still like a recommendation, we’d suggest going for a 60’s inspired winged liner look in your choice of color or just stick to the plain old black. This is a look that’s always chic yet simple.

Berry Nice

Nude lipstick and neutral makeup may be the go-to makeup look for pretty much everyone right now, but there’s nothing like a good berry moment for Valentine’s Day! You can try something different like a berry underliner for the occasion. Take a light-toned berry coloured eyeshadow and apply it with an angled brush to your bottom lash line and wing it out at the edges. Pair this look with a deep berry-colored lip, the richness of the lip color will make the underliner stand out. Add in some mascara and highlighter to pull it all together.

Goth It Up

If you really want to experiment this Valentine’s day, go for a deep, goth-inspired bold makeup look which is moody and elegant. Stick to the burgundy shades for this look and use a plum shade eyeshadow all over your lids and lower lash line. Create a smokey eye effect by adding in some brown shadows and then pair it with winged liner and some mascara. This bold eye look needs an equally bold lip, go in with a burgundy color to really pull it all together.
